I’m a holistic nutrition coach.
I help women (like you) let go of dieting and adopt a lifestyle that enables you to live your best life.
Here’s a little bit about me:
I’m a born-and-raised Colombian girl who moved to the United States at 17 years old to go to university.
I went from eating fresh fruits, vegetables, and healthy homemade meals to eating the processed food that is often served in college cafeterias in the US.
Even though I played varsity tennis (exercised for 3 hours every day), I gained the common “freshman 15” pounds.
Desperate to lose weight, I became obsessed with dieting…
So I tried a lot of different diets, but I could never stick to anything for more than a few days. I didn’t have the “willpower”.
I’d often end up telling myself: “I already ruined my diet today so I might as well indulge for the rest of the week and start a new diet on Monday”.
When I realized I couldn’t really stick to a diet, I started eating only non-fat, low-fat foods, and diet frozen meals…
…and I started forcing myself to do extra workouts each week – which I didn’t enjoy!
I took advice from several nutritionists and personal trainers, but still wasn’t getting the results I wanted.
The more I tried to lose weight, the harder it seemed to be. I wasn’t making any progress!
FINALLY, SOMETHING CLICKED!
Restrictive dieting and punishing exercise had been increasing my stress levels and triggering my emotional eating. My body was in “survival weight gain mode”.
It was time to make a change. I stopped punishing my body and started taking care of it from a place of love, gratitude, and appreciation. I started focusing on improving my health (rather than losing weight), and I focused on enjoying the process.
Once I made these changes, the weight started coming off.
I LOST OVER 12 KGS!
By reducing the diet-related stress in my life, I was able to completely switch off the triggers that were causing my emotional eating.
I was finally able to find a balanced way of eating and a lifestyle that enabled me to not only lose weight but also feel amazing!
Seeing my own transformation, motivated me to join the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and become a certified Holistic Nutrition Health Coach.
I’ve been able to heal my relationship with food and with my body, and I’m here to help you do the same.
I NO LONGER BELIEVE IN DIETING!
Diets don’t work! If they did, you wouldn’t be here.
Nutritionists and personal trainers tend to focus only on calories in vs. calories out. But weight loss is more complicated than that. No meal plan is going to work for you if you don’t have the tools to deal with emotional eating. Sustainable, healthy weight loss requires a holistic approach.
My programs focus on the power of eating real food, implementing nourishing self-care habits, and developing a positive mindset. These three components are fundamental for living your best life!
